ISO 9001: 2015

A Guide to Understanding and Implementing the High Level Structure

ISO 9001: 2015 was published in September 2015. It can be seen that at least 60% of the new standard is high level system (HLS) and should not be changed. The reason we can say this is because these are standardised requirements that will be included in all new and revised ISO management systems standards. In fact at least one standard has already been published in this format.

In this guide we explain the core structure and sequence, the HLS requirements, the significance of the changes and how to approach implementing these. We also provide an introduction to the quality specific requirements (which may change).

With our certification auditing hat on, we also provide an insight into the way external auditors may approach the changes.

If you want to get ahead of the curve you can make a start on the HLS now.
